Steeple Aston Angling Club was formed by local men back in 1949, including such stalwarts as T. Barratt, W. Brock, B. Lewis, E. Calver, J. Wadham, J. Smith, E. Townsend, R. Walton any many others. The original membership fee was three shillings - thats fifteen pence today!

Sixty-five years on and the club is still going strong, fishing a variety of venues all around Oxfordshire and the surrounding counties. Membership is still extremely competitive with discounts for junior and senior members – that's why we have members from eighteen to eighty! There have also been several female anglers who fished with the club regularly over the years, so no matter what your age or gender – you are always welcome to come and fish with us. Please browse the tabs below for more information about the club.

The Match Secretary role is split between Sean, Antony, and Kevin who are in charge of booking macthes, weighing in, and of course having the winning names printed on all of those lovely trophies!
